| Drag strip that is. I posed last week about going to the 1/8th mile track and running an 8.3@90mph. Track conditions were kinda crappy, but regardless I had fun and got to practice launching. Today I finally had my opportunity to stretch the cars legs in an even that was held about an hour away from me. I started the car out on street tires with about 15psi of air. I was running my street tune @ 18psi on 93 octane. Pulling out onto the track for the first time of the day I ran a Reaction: .632 60ft: 2.170 1/8th ET: 8.167 1/8th MPH: 92.20 1/4 ET: 12.402 1/4MPH: 115.67 I was pretty surprised I was going to run that well, considering it was my first time out the day, and most people had me thinking i was going to run high 12's. I ran a few consistent 12.4s with roughly the same timeslips. After an hour or so my buddies showed up (with some "real" tires for me) I bolted on the FD RX7 wheels with M/T ET STreets (26x10.5x16) and went out with them. First time ever on any kind of drag tire I cut a: Reaction: .693 60ft: 1.915 1/8th ET: 7.901 1/8th MPH: 90.34 1/4 ET: 12.215 1/4MPH: 113.87 I was impressed by the way the tires reacted and I was loving the car more and more every pass down the strip. As I kept gaining experience on the tires (car handles VERY differently on slicks, lol) my times got a little quicker. I ran 3 different 12.0s. After I made some adjustments to the tuning things started getting even better. I knew i was so close to seeing an 11 second pass so I had to keep going back out. My 13th pass of the day I ended up going Reaction: .850 60ft: 1.917 1/8th ET: 7.780 1/8th MPH: 94.50 1/4 ET: 11.900 1/4MPH: 119.77 I was really surprised to see I was trapping basically 120mph. The best trap of the day was 119.99 and the 11.900 being the best ET. I guess with a little more practice with the tires, and the idea I'm still on stock IC's and a Single pop, I could probably get some Mid 11's. I shot 8 or 9 in car videos and 2-3 grandstand videos. Hopefully I can have them edited soon and up. Later guys!
